OK, I admit it -- I'm a sucker for the holiday season. I've said this before though, so it should not come as any surprise.

the restaurant part of the bar opens today. I still have to add the dinner part of the menu to the website but everything else is done. I'm really sexcited, and will call my dad after they close to see how they did. The club and dinner part opens dec 15. OMG it's almost december!

Next weekend we will be celebrating Christmas due to the bar schedule and what-not. I am excited but I still have not found anything for my dad. He wants a bluesy-style statue for the bar, something around 2feet tall. But I can't find anything, no on ebay, not anywhere. Any ideas?

A bit of musing:

The holidays either really cheer me up, or really get me down. This year, I see the tendancy to fluctuate either way. On one hand, like my last post stated, I'm in a good place financially and can actually spoil the loved ones in my life. I don't have to worry much on that aspect, and that's a refresing change from the past year of my life. On the other hand, generally the holidays usually get me pretty down. That, coupled with some bad news from a family member tonight, has not helped to raise my mood. I don't want to be down, so I am reminding myself of all that I have to be grateful.

I am alive - first and foremost. I have all my wits and senses about me. My father's bar is going to be a raving success, and we are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel as we passed the ABC test and liquor license obtained. One more thing checked off. Le Cheffy is catering our Christmas dinner when the boyfriend comes for a visit. Happy me. My brother is doing well, living on his OWN for the first time. I couldn't be prouder. We were all worried for him. Now maybe we can get him laid ;) hehe. My grandfather, in good help. My mother, still a whore but I love her just the same. :) Who am I to judge, right? lol. I have a happy relationship with my best friend -- that is better than it's ever been, and that makes me happy.

I am *finally* working with someone who really gets me. Someone who enjoys my creativity, who doesn't stifle me, watch over my shoulder, belittle other people, who pays on time, who treats the girls like gold -- and you know maybe people think she's not going to make it, but I know better. She knows her shit :) And we're going to grow!!!! I can't wait!!!

And for you guys, the callers that have stuck with me from place to place, over the years. I do truly love and appreciate you all. You're wonderful. I've got it this year. Last year, understandably, I was a bit of a grinch. This year? Ho way! I've already got most of my Christmas shopping done. And it's thanks to the guys that have been fucking the stuffin out of me :)

I got my dad this bluesy statue thing off ebay for his club -- it's the only thing he wanted.
I got my grandparents a gift card to ruby tuesday's -- because they need to experience something new, and I know there was one built near their house.
I got my stepmom perfume oils and bath stuff. Yum!
I got my brother a tshirt from tshirt hell making fun of republicans. He'll love it.
I went insane on the boyfriend. A cell phone, the complete prisoner series on dvd, The star wars clone wars animated dvd vol 1, an rem dvd, and a book - the complete guide to middle earth. Spoiled much? hehe

And what I got myself -- some new clothes, some lush bath stuff, and a few things for the beloved feline in my life.

Oh -- and I won't tell what I got my secret santa! Newp, newp, newp!

All in all, life is grand...

Well, it's been a crazy week or so -- and I mean crazy! I've been so busy with designing websites, and doing calls, and just being sexy, that I really haven't had the chance to update. Here it is.

It was brought to my attention that Theo Epstein refused a contract extension as General Manager of the 2004 World Champion Boston Red Sox.

In My World: Well, this next weekend (Apr29-May1) I am going to go on a little mini-vacation to Nashville to visit family and friends. I really have a kick ass team. So far I've been fluctuating from first to second in my league. And because you all care, here are my thoughts on the season and the red sox: Yes, they're idiots. They're the most lovable idiots on the planet save my brother. They're not the same team entirely that won the Series, but they still have the attitudes of champions. Jason Varitek is doing great, oh captain, my captain! And of course Ortizzle, the nizzle of the yizzle is doing wonderfully. Renteria's bat seemed to warm up against (gasp) Randy Johnson and hopefully we will see more of that, and people can stfu about him. All in all, I think we're going to have a good year. Be positive!!

I'll be here most of the weekend, watching baseball and painting - so if you see me on, but I'm not answering IM's, I'm probably covered in watercolors ;) Come give me a fuck!

Lately I have been enjoying myself. I've been making me time, doing things that I want, and sitll having the fun times with you boys that I've been accustomed to having.

Dr. Phil says to "own" your transgressions and take responsibility for your actions. I tend to agree with him. Here I am, taking responsibility for mine.

A couple people have asked me what brings me back to Everything Phone Sex Other people asked me why I am working at both Lorelei AND Everything Phone Sex. Well, the lovely owners of Lorelei have partnered with K&K Productions to salvage what was left of a broken company and try to make it great again. Some people might think that greed motivated my choice to be there. Actually, it was loyalty to the only people I had to turn to when I spent a month without a paycheck. When I had to go through Christmas without presents for the people I loved (except for a few I'd pre-bought before hand). When I left Everything Phone Sex, I fought for almost a month and a half before I got paid from the former owner of Stormer Communications. During this time, I had no support. I had no Utopia. I had nothing but the people at Lorelei helping me get paid. Everyone else at Everything Phone Sex was still singing its praises, talking about how great it was, how wonderful it was to work there, how everything was peaches and cream (well, except a few people, who are pretty much in the same boat as me).

Then the checks stopped coming in, and everyone jumped ship. I have to admit, I don't blame them for being angry at Stormer and the former KBW. I would be too. I was, and still am. However, K&K and Lorelei didn't do ANYTHING to them. They own Everything now. I am loyal to them.

Some people might make claims about how some people learn how their friends are the hard way. Yeah, I had to learn that too. Hardly ANYONE kept in contact with me after I left. But yet it's the ones that didn't, the ones that didn't give a fuck about what happened to me after I left, that are ACTING the most hurt about the whole situation. Yeah, I said acting. Because some people are all about what you can give them, and don't give a fuck about you beyond that. I learned the hard way who my friends are back in December.

It doesn't really bother me anymore, however. I'm doing what will help the company I've been working to help establish grow. I'm doing what will help us as a group. Want to talk about a close-knit group of girls? I love them. I love all of them, they are a great bunch, and while things aren't ALWAYS perfect, we always work things out together. And isn't that what being a family is all about?

It's good to be home, even though home has been remodeled a bit.
